Calling All Chocolatiers!

Faith in Action Medina County Caregivers will be hosting the 21st Annual “For the Love of Chocolate” Festival on Friday, January 19th 2018 and we are reaching out to local businesses who wish to participate by becoming a chocolatier!

Vending is open to amateurs and professionals, artists, and craftspeople, who provide services and items that may be of interest to Faith in Action and the Medina County Communities.

To participate, you must provide a two-bite sample of something chocolate to the attendees.  Our goal is to provide opportunities for vendors to present their respective talents in an atmosphere that benefits the vendor, the attendee, and our charity fundraiser.

Therefore:  Anyone wishing to sell food items at For the Love of Chocolate Festival will be required to fill out paperwork with the Health Department.  (We will provide this to you at a later date.)

Event is held rain, snow, or sunshine.  No cancellations.

Due to the nature of the Event, the For the Love of Chocolate Festival is a fundraiser and the selling of tickets to the event is the way we raise money for the Event.

The vendors must be on time and bring the appropriate pre-determined chocolate samples for the event to be successful.  If you sign up to be a vendor and cancel within 30 days of the event date, you will be charged a $500.00 cancellation fee.

You don’t have to be a baker or chocolate-maker to promote your business.

You can distribute chocolate samples while promoting your business, whether you represent a bank, an assisted living or some other consumer-oriented business.


Media sponsors provide over $35,000 of free advertising.

Your business will be mentioned in press releases.

Your business name will be included in newspaper and radio ads.

Public Relations

Your business will be represented at the best attended non-profit event in Medina County.

Visibility to local families at a worthwhile, positive community event.

Inclusion in social media promotions.

Day of the Event

Opportunity to advertise and sell products for Valentine’s Day!

Your business name is included in announcements throughout the event.

Volunteers are available to help with set-up, break-down and staff your display.

You may have from 1 to 2 tables, with electricity if desired.

Balloons and signage are provided.

Each Chocolatier business will receive 2 free tickets to sample other vendors’ wares.


Provide at least  800 two-bite-size, homemade chocolate samples.

MARKETING TIP! The more attractive and tasty your sample is, the more follow-up business you can expect from attendees.

Some of our Chocolatiers have reported that they have doubled their business after participating in our Chocolate Festival.

Set up and staff (with volunteer help available) an attractive display to promote your business.

On a limited basis, if for some reason you personally cannot attend, but you wish to participate with your samples and marketing material, we will staff your booth with our volunteers. Please remain at the event until its conclusion at 10 p.m.

All proceeds from this event help local elderly and disabled residents get FREE rides to medical appointments.

We understand that we are to provide at least 800 free, handmade, two-bite size, samples each to ticket holders.  We also understand that we can sell and/or take orders for our merchandise at the event.  We will bring our own table covering.  We will not take down our display table until the conclusion of the festival at 10 p.m.
